While I haven’t seen the good yet, I have to believe that I eventually will. So this lesson is perhaps the most valuable to me, and the hardest to accept. I am so very much like Cory in the way that I hate change. I haven’t been back to my hometown for a few months now. It felt so horrible because just as I’d started to become comfortable with living away from home, my home would no longer be where I left it. I found out after my very first month of college. STORY TIME: My family just moved three hours away from my hometown. This is a lesson that is really hard for me to grasp, personally. You’ll be fine if you stay there, but you could grow so much more if you allow for change. Sometimes, if you stay in the same place, you have no more room to grow. Not only is it an amazing lesson, but it reminded me of the last lesson on Boy Meets World. I absolutely loved that wisdom from Cory. Maybe he's learned.but that's beside the point.) (Kind of ironic, considering it was coming from Cory, the hater of change, but whatever. And the worst thing we can do is cross our arms and refuse to accept what’s going to come anyway. People do get comfortable with what’s familiar. Riley’s changing her favorite place in the world. There were so many great scenes in the beginning that just made me laugh so hard. I really loved the beginning of this episode because it was so funny. “Huh.Hey guys, something’s seriously wrong.” LOL LUCAS. Such an amazing touch to the episode, Joshua Jacobs! Cory told him he looks 36.and it's kind of true lol. “Have some dignity, woman!”Īfter the song, Lucas’s phone shows that he’s always looked the same as a child and I just thought that was hilarious. More on that later.Īnd then that little second of Riarkle…Riley asked him if she could say he’s handsome without embarrassing him…and he said no. Maya doesn’t want anything to change, much like someone else I know (I’m talking about me. So I guess I’ll start at the beginning…Change.
Because…the ideas…the lines…the meta…EVERYTHING. I could just gush about his writing forever. And I couldn’t be more excited to see what else he writes. Like…how is this even possible? It is so obvious he’s Michael’s son. He managed to write everything I could ever want in this one episode. The way she said her lines and just her mannerisms were so Riley. In Lindsey Lamer, I seriously saw a mini Rowan Blanchard. Ivy George (little Maya)- I never knew a little girl could act so well and make me cry. Sabrina- you literally made me start bawling. Well, here goes.īen Savage- THAT DIRECTING, THOUGH. I feel like every single review, my MVP list grows longer. I seriously.I’m so impressed by this episode on so many levels. If there was a list of every single thing I could want in a GMW episode…this was it. Michael said it would be one of the best. I just…I seriously don’t even know where to start with this episode.
